Cute Cake Stands

I do love whimsy and these unique cake stands are certainly that! This particular one features a lady with big green eyes, colorful jewelry and a hat resembling a lamp shade adorned with a big red bow.  Oh, and she's wearing a little black dress.
There are two other cake stands in this set and they can be stacked together to form an incredibly cute cupcake stand.  Cupcakes are very popular these days and this is a fun, fun way to display them.
These cake stands are available individually but together they are smashing!  Desserts served on these cake stands will get noticed!  Very cute for a shower, ladies' tea, luncheon, or any other get together.  They are wonderful gifts as well.  Think of your favorite baker, a new bride, or anyone who loves to bake cakes and entertain.
These are not only functional cake stands but they are also kitschy, whimsical, fun pieces of art.

Cake Wrecks: When Professional Cakes go Hilariously Wrong

Cake Wrecks: When Professional Cakes Go Hilariously Wrong

Here is another blog turned book. My husband and I check in on the Cake Wreck Blog now and then and chuckle and laugh our way through it. So funny! It is pretty amazing how badly the cakes can get messed up or misinterpreted. Sometimes it was just a really bad idea to start with. The Cake Wreck book contains some of the best from the blog but it is 75% new material. Every bit as funny as the the cakes is the running commentary of Jen Yates, the author. Customers report that the whole family from kids to Grandma finds this book hilarious. Buy several copies to give to your foodie friends!

Merry Christmas!

The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl

Have you ever heard of the Pioneer Woman blog? It is a delightful recipe blog by Pioneer Woman who writes about her husband Marlboro Man, their children, ranch, and of course, her wonderful recipes! Several of my online friends have been raving about her chocolate cake for years. Pioneer Woman's sense of humor, gorgeous photos, and tempting recipes make it fun to read the blog even if you never make any of the dishes she features.
Now she has written a book! The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl. I love the blog and can't wait to read the book. This one is going on my Christmas wish list for sure!

Merry Christmas!
